Vinyasa yoga is a style of yoga that focuses on relaxation but at the same time enables you to raise your heart rate, sweat, and find your endurance through intense movements. Research has revealed health benefits to his type of yoga.

According to a 2010 study published in the journal Behavior Modification, individuals who had dealt with depression before engaging in yoga noticed their stress levels decrease and depression diminish after about eight weeks of practice. Additionally, the Journal of Women's Health published a study from 2012 revealing that women smokers who engaged in yoga were more apt to quit smoking. Women who took part in this study noticed less anxiety and an improved overall well-being.

Not only does Vinyasa yoga help with depression and anxiety, but it also can decrease the frequency of migraines. Proof of this health benefit stems from a 2014 study by the International Journal of Yoga.
